A quick video of us visiting Port Weld

** Update** new video - video of our outing to Taiping where we went to Ngah Ibrahim museum, Matang mangrove forest, Port Weld fishing village, a charcoal factory and Uncle Rajan's new digs. The video is short because I did it in a hurry. The video was taken at a boat quay in a fishing village in Port Weld. Other videos and more in my account (hopefully).

My video account in youtube is

Pulau Lang Tengah - A Snorkeler's Paradise

Last week I vacationed at Pulau Lang Tengah with a few friends, a decision made to get away from the hustle and bustle of University life. Located off Terengganu, Lang Tengah is situated between Pulau Redang and Pulau Perhentian. Although not as popular as Pulau Redang, Lang Tengah has more privacy to offer, not to mention less packed beaches.

The entire trip costed RM 500 per person, including bus tickets to Terengganu and 3 meals per day at the resort, a pretty good bargain. I was thinking that Lang Tengah should be our next family vacation as the entire trip was very laid back and worth every single ringgit spent.

Check out my gallery for more pictures of Lang Tengah =)

Creating content

You'd probably noticed that I've changed the theme of this website. I liked this garden theme but it doesn't work with a left hand menu and therefore cannot work with the photo gallery. A lot of of other themes have similar problems so I'm left with only a few themes that work (sigh!). Twilight is one of them. I changed the photo album theme to match. As you may have noticed, Angie has started to put some pics in.

This brings me to actually creating some "blog-like" content that will go on the front page. If you login, you will see a "Create content" item on the left menu.

Angeline's blog

Angeline's blogspot page.

In her words "Here's my bid to do a little community service, while learning to keep up with the e-world.

Check out my blog and leave constructive comments for my posts."

There is also a link in the left hand menu.

Finger surgery

The Chinese are wrong. If you stab a finger at a rock like a kung-fu star, it's not the rock that breaks, it's the finger.

Last week, on a Hash run in Lembah Beringin, I was walking in a rubber plantation when I fell forward. As my hands thrust out, the right ring finger slammed straight into a rock on the road, breaking off the extensor tendon with a piece of bone. The result, a "mallet finger". I was told that without surgery, the chance of this becoming permanent was about 80%. This was the opinion of two Indian surgeons so surgery it was.

Christmas pics

Have posted some pics in the Christmas Photo page of the Christmas eve family gathering at Devin and Angie's place. Devin and Angie are now in Flores with Grandma and Audrey house-sitting for them. Julia and Alan went up to Frasier's Hill for a church planning retreat and came back today. I'm just filling time trying to build a couple of shelves in my house and do some lighting (wiring etc) at the church..

There are also some pics of the family in church Christmas morning. This year there was a reduced program. No kids acts, just the choir. Because of a lack of practice, the bass part for the first song we sand "Hark, the herald angels sing" totally fell apart.. we (the bass) all sang the soprano part;-)

ING Advertisement

Found this ad in one of my folders. Sent by Angie some time ago and forgotten.

Angie called me up one day and said that there was an advertising shoot at her house, and that I should come over and take some pics for the website. I biked over with my camera. Mumsie and Julia were already there, and powdered up for the shoot, together with Devin and one of his little relatives plus some other models/actors. Then came a request, they needed an old guy to act as Mum's husband. So with a borrowed shirt and some white powder in my hair, I was roped into the shoot too.

Anyway here's the video posted on Youtube

Caving in Gunung Lanno

Recently the MKS went caving in Gua Lanno. Inside this cave is a huge rock in the shape of a giant tortoise. Here are a few members posing at Tortoise Rock.

Luckily we had a map of the cave to help us navigate inside. It's much easier to explore when you know which passages to follow and where there is a dead end.

High Court meet on Dad's will

Went down to Ipoh last Friday to meet with a court judge concerning Dad's will. Robert and I attended. Short meeting, we should get a written letter in a month's time giving us the probate on Dad's estate. Robert met a friend of his at the court. His Dad died without a will and it's been five years....
